Android controls 39% of Smartphone Market


According to latest data from Nielsen, Android still survive as the top operating system for smartphones in the U.S., followed by RIM continues to falter.

According to Nielsen data calculated from June Android continues to increase up to 39% until this month, Apple followed with 28% and RIM Blackberry OS continues to decline to 20%. When compared to the Android rose as much as 3%, Apple and RIM rose 2% down 3% from February.

However Apple is the winner. Like RIM, Apple has the advantage of controlling the software and hardware platform for smartphone, but differ with RIM to release a lot of types of smartphones Apple only sells three types of smartphones in the U.S. namely: iPhone4 (AT & T), iPhone4 (Verizon), and the 3G iPhone (AT & T).

Today is the largest smartphone manufacturer HTC with Android operating system as much as 14%, Motorola 11%, and Samsung's 8%.
