Temple at Dieng

Based on the findings Dieng Site inscription could have been built centuries VII - XIII AD. As a service to the god Shiva and Sakti Shiva (Shiva's wife). Temple complex built in the former residual crater basin. Hinduism is the oldest building in Central Java built around the seventh century, older than prambanan built in the eighth century.
Viewed from 21 buildings, Dieng site is divided into 5 groups.
Four groups of a ceremonial building Site (place of worship), namely:

  1. Group Candi Arjuna ( Pendawa 5 )
  2. Group Candi Gatut Kaca
  3. Group Candi Bhima
  4. Group Candi Dwarawati / Parikesit
  5. Group Candi Magersari
Arjuna temple complex comprises of 5 temples.
Runs east is the Arjuna Temple, Temple Heroine, Temple and Temple Putadewa Sembadra.
Faced with Candi Semar Arjuna temple is located itself in the west.
In the temples of the gods illustrated companion of Lord Shiva.
Only in the temple there Heroine image of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu.

The
Gatotkaca temple is located in the foothills Pangonan (Bukit grazing)
Makara there is a distinctive form of a giant grinning face with no lower jaw.

Bhima temple
has a distinctive appearance,
on the roof similar to the shape such as bowl ditelungkupkan Shikara.

Dworowati temple is located in the north and set up in Mount Boat with 5m x 4m and 6m high.
